โSeek Knowledge from the cradle to the graveโย is the endearing instruction of our Habeeb Muhammad Mustapha (peace be upon him). Bearing this in mind, the education department of the SJUSA is perhaps our most dynamic and centrical endeavour. We believe that learners who are instilled with the proper Aqaaid and practice related education on an elementary level are fully equipped with the tools to become the future torch bearers of Islam and society in general.
The SJUSA has formulated its very own syllabus which is utilised by both affiliate and non-affiliate Madaaris. Our involvement stems from monthly inspections, supervision, Muallima training and workshops to conducting the annual examinations. Our involvement is not restricted to the conventional systems of Madaaris, but rather encompasses the much needed post reversion upliftment to the indigenous people of South Africa.
Welfare
Our beautiful Deen emphasises the need for us to be benefactors to the poverty stricken, elders and less fortunate. In addressing the plight of the poor, we network with various established welfare organisations by investigating the legitimacy and capacitance of the needy and thereafter ensuring the necessary assistance is received.

Ulama Workshops
South Africa is a secularised state and thus the laws, legislations and applications may not always be congruent with Islamic laws and our mode of life. There are often revised forms of promulgation resulting in a conflict between both forms of governance.
The SJUSA is consulted on these matters by the government and thereafter is transmitted with its implications to our Ulama in order for them to clearly understand both forms of the law and its implications to the general Muslim community. We have successfully facilitated many legally authorised posts for our Ulama i.e Marriage Registration Officers etc.
